Save Cedar Creek Launches Community Survey Ahead of Cedarburg's Spring 2027 Election
Residents invited to weigh in on city direction before mayor and three council seats appear on the April ballot
Before any candidate asks for a vote, residents deserve a chance to say plainly how they think the city is doing and what they want from it. That's what this survey is for.”
CEDARBURG, WI, UNITED STATES, August 30, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Save Cedar Creek today launched a community-wide survey inviting City of Cedarburg residents to share their views on the direction of the city ahead of the April 2027 spring election, when voters will elect a mayor and council members in Districts 2, 4, and 6.— Kevin Cahill
The survey follows months of conversations with hundreds of residents and local organizations about issues including the Amcast redevelopment project, Flock surveillance cameras, development and growth, and the city's expansion into the Town of Cedarburg.
From those conversations, Save Cedar Creek identified five recurring values: preserving Cedarburg's small-town character, impartial and consistent application of the law, transparent and forward-looking government, responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, and stronger community collaboration.
"We heard the same themes over and over, but we don't want to assume we've got it right," said Kevin Cahill, founder of Save Cedar Creek. "Before any candidate asks for a vote, residents deserve a chance to say plainly how they think the city is doing and what they want from it. That's what this survey is for."
The survey takes under two minutes and asks residents to rate the city's direction and performance on key issues, and to name the single most important thing they want city government to do in the years ahead. Responses are confidential. Name and address are collected solely to verify that responses come from City of Cedarburg residents, and results will be reported only as community-wide totals.
Aggregate results will be shared publicly and with all participants. We encourage both City of Cedarburg residents and surrounding community members to participate. What happens in Cedarburg, affects our creek, our shared watershed all all our connected resources. The reports will show both City responses, and the larger Ozaukee County results separately.
The goal is to ensure the current government understands and represents community concerns, while inspiring the community become more involved in the upcoming election, as voters or candidates.
